Lending criteria tightened up dramatically after the 2008 Financial Crisis but we are already starting to see this been relaxed as lenders once again start to fight for market share.

Great video, I wonder if we have ever recovered fully from the 2008 recession. It was too big to just get over. Interest rates have remained low and don't look like rising in the near future.

I worked for a bunch of mortgage sales people and they were encouraging their clients to borrow on interest repayments only. The sellers assumed that house prices would continue to rise. It looked dangerous to me and I was just an office worker. Because of the credit crunch I lost my job and became a teacher. I have a good job now and great colleagues, so I did quite well out of the credit crunch. However, a lot of people suffered. M.

Lending virtually dried up in 2008. If you were a business then borrowing overnight became extremely difficult.
