I’m not a big tech guy so testing this with exactly how we use it in the real world was the best way for me to show you our fastest drive! There are pros and cons to everything we do, but here’s a drive we really enjoy! The drive claims 2800 MB/sec but we found between 2400 – 2500 be more exact when we tested it out. The biggest downside is cost 500GB: $399.95 and 1TB: $699.95 and max size is 1TB which for us, just means we have to use more drives. On our tests, we wanted to show exactly how we used this drive. We were going from a RED card reader but we found if you went from one of our big drive to this G-Drive we saw it do about 300GB in a little over 2 minutes, it was crazy awesome! I found that I could edit my 8K footage on our iMac Pros a lot easier too!

  1. Thanks for always being so generous with your knowledge. I own several G-Tech drives and have always been happy with them, but OWC (macsales.com) has a 2 TB that does up to 2500 MB/s for $1200. Still expensive, but a little cheaper than 2 of the G-Drives.
